Advanced ScrumMaster

Programme and Course Overview:

Expand your skills as a Certified ScrumMaster!

As Scrum Master you're responsible for making sure a Scrum team lives by the values and practices of Scrum. As a servant leader, you keep the team focussed, coach it's members in fulfilling their role and help remove impediments to the team's effectiveness. As most experienced Scrum Masters can attest, Scrum is deceptively simple. It can be taught in two days, but truly mastering it requires a lot of practice. And even then, some questions will remain. How do you avoid Scrumbut? Can you do Scrum in a waterfall environment? What about distributed and/or work-from-home teams? This course helps you to get those questions answered and to coach Scrum teams to reach their full potential, even in challenging environments.

Course Objectives

  • Discuss Scrum in real life.
  • Learn how to use Scrum in challenging environments, such as large organizations and waterfall projects.
  • Experience the Standup From Hell. Understand the principles of company politics.

  • Add variation and flavor to plain vanilla retrospectives.
  • Leverage the power of systems thinking to remove impediments.
