Masterclass Agile Testing

Programme and Course Overview:

This master class aims on getting functional testers to become valued agile team members and explains how they contribute to delivering a continuous stream of business value.

It shows ways to overcome common cultural and logistical obstacles in the transition to an agile development process.

It describes the values and principles that help testers adopt an agile testing mindset and how the whole team contributes to the success of any testing practice, including test automation.

You will experience how to complete testing activities in short iterations, how testers contribute on a daily basis during each iteration and release cycle and how to incorporate test management strategies.

Through interactive exercises, real-life examples and group discussions you will learn good strategies for driving development with both executable and manual tests, how to avoid common pitfalls and about the many other ways agile testers can add value.

What makes this training unique is that it contains an in depth introduction to test automation, with hands-on exercises and demonstrations of implementations from successful Agile projects.

This practical approach will empower the participants to take Agile Testing from concept to practice in their own daily routine. This training will prepare test professionals that are moving from a more traditional way of working into Agile development and will give them the luggage and confidence to make this transition to a success.

Target Group & Prerequisites:

The Master class is intended for functional testers. However, because in Agile projects testing is a shared effort, all (future) members of Agile Teams will benefit from understanding their contribution to the test process and the interaction with the testers on their team. For Developers it will be useful to see how their expertise and technical skills best support functional testing and test automation. Other stakeholders such as Product Owners, Business Analysts, Test-, Quality Assurance- and Development managers will gain better understanding of the importance of agile testing and the benefits it will bring to their projects. Basic Agile knowledge, professional testing experience and some technical skills are recommended to get the most from this course. No development experience is required, the practical side of the masterclass is focussed on the functional aspects of testing and test automation
