Agile/SAP

Programme and Course Overview: 

The SAP Agile training, is a 2 days, instructor-led course. During this training, all aspects of Scrum will be covered both in theory and practice. You will learn about the Scrum values and principles and the way in which these contribute to the success of your project. By means of group exercises throughout the course, you will gain practical knowledge and you will experience working in a Scrum team. And you will learn what is specifically needed to adapt SCRUM to your SAP project implementation.

Topics you can expect are:

  •     The Scrum framework
  •     How to use Agile/Scrum for a SAP project implementation
  •     Integration of Agile into ASAP 7

          - Testing SAP systems in multidisciplinary teams
          - Breaking up requirements so that specialists can do their thing
          - Working with specialists over more than one team
          - Deployment and version control of multiple teams, OTAP

  •     The metrics offered by Scrum (Product Backlog, Burndown Chart)
  •     How to introduce Agile without the need to drastically change your organization
  •     How to scale an Agile project from one team to multiple teams in a distributed (off-shore) environment

Goals
This course is intended to be an advanced training of the Agile Implementation Methodology, focusing on the Project Management and project team lead point of view.

Target Group & Prerequisites: 

Project Managers, Consultants, Project Team Members of the customer.

Laurens Bonnema

Laurens Bonnema joined Xebia on May 1, 2010 as an Agile Consultant and Trainer.

Laurens is Treasurer of Agile Holland, member of the Agile Consortium's Agile Certification workgroup, and Chairman of the Agile Project Leadership Network Netherlands Chapter. Laurens strives to merge classic and Agile management in the conviction that it is the future of professional management. Also, he frequently presents on a number of subjects. Last year's presentations were on "The Political Economy of Agile Projects" at the XP Days Benelux and this year on "Teambuilding" at the Agile People Event.

Laurens has received training in several project management, software development, and process improvement methodologies such as Scrum, EVO, XP, RUP, DSDM/Atern, PRINCE2, ITIL, CMMI, BPM, TOC, Lean, and Six Sigma.

Laurens is a Certified Scrum Master, Certified Scrum Product Owner, PRINCE2 Practitioner and currently working on becoming a Certified Scrum Coach & Trainer.

Before joining Xebia, Laurens worked for two other IT Service Providers and studied International Relations at the University of Groningen. He's fluent in Dutch, English, and Spanish, and speaks passable French and German. He lives in Dordrecht, The Netherlands, with his wife Nienke Blauw and son Mark.
